Standard Print Finishing Binding Types
This is a selection of standard print finishing / binding types that are commonly used in the print industry today.
A metal or plastic coil wrapping through punched holes
Papers bound through the thickeness and sometimes covered with tape
Stitched with wire through the center fold
A saddle stitch but using looped wires for adding to a binder
Half canadian binding
Wire binding that is partially concealed behind a square spine.
Full canadian binding
Wire binding that is fully concealed behind a square spine.
A squared spine to a saddle stitch.
Adhesive is used to bind the papers which are then covered with board.
